Hey T1G&TMP Packs a Wallop sounds kewl! I'm loving your guttural grunty style. I am tickled pink to see you are touring the Land of Oz in April 2010. Please oh please return to the TANKS in paradisical Cairns, North Queensland. If you book it, we will come and I promise to take you canoeing, fishing and waterskiing up at the Atherton Tablelands as a trade off! Oooooowwww!
Yet another funky masterpiece - bravo!!!
absolutely fantastic in every way!
Cannot wait to own this! Thank you.
It's a great album! But... I got screwed apparently and bought it from iTunes and missed out on the bonus song =/

Still, it's one heckuva listen!
Only had a chance to listen once so far, the download went online ten minutes before I had to leave for work and I thought it would be simply atrocious to call in sick because a new CD was released...

First thoughts: Love it. Modern Man is soooo heavy, I just love that. Lotsa good humor throughout, nice slow one there at the end, Stones Throw, sounds almost a little "Indian-ish". I'll give a more thoughtful review tomorrow, after I've had a chance to listen to it properly for 8 hours or so.

"Another masterpiece!"
-Professor Lombardo
Modern Man- Delightfully Heavy with spacey-vocals
Packs A Wallop- Funky fresh, catchy lyrics
Step Into Striped Light- folkish tinged, but electric and danceable. Bolt On Neck-ish solo
Luck Bean- poppy-harmonies and vocals, awesome riffs
Laser Beans- slow march feeling, awesome effects and production. I can bang my head to this one and it feels right.
Suckatash- feels like i'm in a big hall, in space.
Funk Bean- funky beat and rhythm, as expected. reminds me of word up he did as the encore last time T1G came to town
Warn The Kids- epic sound
Stones Throw- melodious soundscape
Sole- this is a live staple finally made in the studio. Just as great, lots of energy.

well that is my "review" of PAW and i gotta say, this is some of best work T1G has ever done. Bravo and can't wait to see you in tampa!
That 1 Guy and His Magic Pipe have change the world yet again with their funkadelic tunes. I gotta say though Packs A Wallop! does make you crave The Fabulous Hedgehogs!!!

Say...How bout's it...

what about a re-release of epic proportions....

How bout re-releasing Dig! The Fabulous Hedgehogs 94' album

Huh??? How bout that??

Keep rockin' Mike and can't wait to see ya back in Eugene with Packs a Wallop!!!
Oh hell yeah. Great album.
Just how good? Modern Man is my least favorite track.
That good.
And I love how T1G channels Beefheart in Stepped Into Striped Light's verses.
Fantastic.
And what can you say about the "bean trilogy"?
Can not wait to hear some of these new tracks live!
I heard some Tom Wait roots in Stepped Into Striped Light. The vocals are just phenomenal. This whole album is just a torrent of fresh air. Great way to start 2010. :D

Couldn't agree more.
A damn fine way to start out 2010.
After about 8 spins, this is hands down my fave T1G cd.
Bring on the tour!

The Tom Waits I also heard immediately. There isn't a song, nay a conglomeration of the most wonderful lyrics and tones ever, that I didn't like. Bravo That 1 Guy, you win again.

NEWS & UPDATES

All Good was particularly good this year.

"Somewhere between the thumping bass of Les Claypool and the untamed, silly genius that was Frank Zappa, you’ll find That 1 Guy." Read full live review here!

Cool wrap-up from Red Bull Creation

"One other highlight of the day was the performance by an incredibly talented artist called “That 1 Guy”. He used a self-designed and built instrument he calls the “Magic Pipe”. His music was funky and cool, and if you had your eyes closed you would never believe it was coming from a 7ft series of pipes! Be sure to check out his website, and if he’s coming to your town GO SEE HIM!"…

Bottleneck Review from Lawrence

Thanks for coming out David!  Full review can be found here.

"Utilizing every style under the sun, from Heavy Metal, to lounge room Jazz, That 1 Guy loops his own rhythms, beats, melodies and harmonies, piecing together remarkable songs in the most interesting, off-beat chords. Exploring trail-blazing experimental music that's still…
