Hey All! I have my school talent show coming up and I'd really like to sing one of That 1 Guy's songs for it (preferably Weasel Potpie), however it has been ungodly hard to find a backing track anywhere. If someone could provide me with a track that doesn't have That 1 guy's voice on it, that would be great, as long as it doesn't bother That 1 Guy of course. I'm not trying to make a profit out of this event at all. More like trying to show off his music to my school. XD
I've also been told by my friends that I should do this because "You sound almost exactly like him when you sing". :)
Also, here's a poem I wrote a while ago. The inspiration of which came to me in the form of the rhythm for Jigsaw and the image of the mask seller from Legend of Zelda hitch-hiking and dancing along the highway.
Man of 1,000 Appearances
Hittin' the road
hoppin' like the toad
Diggin' it due east
good for the sober feast
batty with a cougar hat
smiling cheshire cat
hard like the jigsaw
teeth like the shark maw
man of a thousand faces
openin' to the aces
roadkill everywhere
we'll jump through the air
Can you see
the way he moves
through the waves of time
who his he
you or me
Kickin' it with thunder
hoofing it for plunder
there he goes
with no toes
Stiff like a dead man
bopped in the frying pan
thicker than
the wicker
of a swinging monkey
down with the funky
faces
"One other highlight of the day was the performance by an incredibly talented artist called “That 1 Guy”. He used a self-designed and built instrument he calls the “Magic Pipe”. His music was funky and cool, and if you had your eyes closed you would never believe it was coming from a 7ft series of pipes! Be sure to check out his website, and if he’s coming to your town GO SEE HIM!"…
Thanks for coming out David! Full review can be found here.
"Utilizing every style under the sun, from Heavy Metal, to lounge room Jazz, That 1 Guy loops his own rhythms, beats, melodies and harmonies, piecing together remarkable songs in the most interesting, off-beat chords. Exploring trail-blazing experimental music that's still…
