That 1 Guy

That 1 Guy always puts at least one instrumental piece on every album, always very beautiful and creative. I now find myself now looking forward to hearing the instrumental last track on each album and the latest (and quite possibly the best) "Stones Throw" has gotten me thinking; what if he made an entire album of just this? Would you buy it?

I LOVE these tracks on the albums, especially because they are long as hell (FW - 9:45, Rb - 14:22, ST - 7:22) but at the same time I find myself not wanting to hear him play them live, only because it takes up valuable real estate. The last coupla shows I saw were festival sets (read: very short) so I found myself wishing that he wouldn't play those long ones only so I could hear more of the "shorties".

That said, I DO hope that I get to see/hear Stones Throw live this tour, but then it will be a nice long, full set this time around. Still though, I'd rather hear more songs than Rainbow or Forgotten Whales.

I LOVE your idea though, a whole CD of just really long jams. I have a GREAT title for it too: "Shut Up'N Play Yer Pipe!" that would make me the happiest of campers.

Maybe Mike could go and live with Billy again for another month and punch out this masterpiece, I'm almost sure that Billy would totally be into helping make this monster. Maybe a cover medley could go on there too, as a last track maybe? Just for shits and giggles?

What a truly Greeeeaaaat! idea.

It's a little lumpy... but you get the idea!

It's called Bolt on Neck! And it's amazing!

But yes, another instrumental Frankenstein Brothers album would rock my socks off.
the idea is to have a solo That1Guy album. Frankenstein Brothers, while great, has too many members.

i saw a show a few years back in Iowa City. about a set and a half was pure improve digital jam. it was awesome. ive seen a few shows in the last few years that have been as many songs crammed inside of a set though. im a fan of the jam though

Cool wrap-up from Red Bull Creation

"One other highlight of the day was the performance by an incredibly talented artist called “That 1 Guy”. He used a self-designed and built instrument he calls the “Magic Pipe”. His music was funky and cool, and if you had your eyes closed you would never believe it was coming from a 7ft series of pipes! Be sure to check out his website, and if he’s coming to your town GO SEE HIM!"…
