The Magic Boots!

I wanted to make a place for the hardcore fans to post and share bootlegs. At this point I've only got two, but one of them (Philly) is a real doozie! It was Mike's Birthday that night and Heatbox (& the audience) helped celebrate with a rousing version of Happy Birthday followed by an encore jam with both of them. Instant classic.

Both of these shows are excellent. I am really hoping that a few of you folks have s'more up yer sleeves. There has got to be more boots floating around somewhere and I intend to find them. Also, anyone with the ability and the knowhow that will be attending a future show.. please do us all a HUGE favor and tape that puppy! So long as it's unobtrusive and the venue doesn't have a "no taping" policy there shouldn't be a problem, that said we all know that taping can be a risky business. "Stealth" tapers have the advantage, stash your deck under your 'nads and nobody is the wiser. ;)

you wouldnt have a way to convert those files to mp3 do you?

Yes, of course I do. There's a gazillion freeware apps for converting .flac files to .mp3, the one that I'm currently using is called Format Factory (& I suspect there are probably better ones, I just use the first free one (ad-driven) that gets a decent review) and it pretty much converts from any format to any format.

IF you need to convert them, that is (like for iPod or mp3 players). If you just want to listen to them I'd suggest getting the flac plugin for winamp (if that's your media player) OR if you want to burn them to disc then get the flac plugin for Nero (if that's your burning software).

Bear in mind that tapers HATE it when their stuff gets converted to a lossy format, so for Jebus' sake, IF you convert these shows do NOT (& I repeat) NOT redistribute them, EVER. They are for your personal use only. That said, don't be afraid to convert them for yourself, for whatever reason(s) you have to, but keep it to yourself.

I sure hope that more LIVE shows show up here, especially something NEW from the PAW! tour, I'm dieing to hear some more of that stuff live!

wow man, i don't have any solo live stuff, just a few shows he did w. Buckethead - my fav is Pearl St Ballroom, Northampton Ma from 3-4 yrs ago - i was sitting under the mic & asked the guy to send me a cd. every time i hear a beer bottle clink on that recording i think back to the garbage can below me & everyone throwing their bottles in lol!

Christmas comes early this year boys'n girls! My friend toaster attended last night's show in Ithaca, NY.. and WE all win! This is the first real boot I've heard of the PAW tour... it's kicking my modern ass all over the place! Toaster is a very skilled master at what he does, it's a labor of love for him, and I think that results speak for themselves & prove this unequivocally.
